In August 2014, TCB unveiled its freshly revised website www.tourismbonaire.com; a comprehensive and attractive platform containing a wide variety of information relevant for anyone interested in the island of Bonaire. Since its launch, the website has been very successful, and monthly page views have almost doubled. New visitors represent 75% of the audience while 25% are returning visitors. The total users per month increased to approximately 10,000 and there are over 85,000 views since the revised website was launched. The most popular pages after the home page are Accommodations, Dive Sites and Beaches, as well as the pages pertaining to general information about the island. The importance of mobile device usage grew by about 6%, while tablet device usage grew by about 5%. These results support the online platform’s goal of serving (potential) tourists in their search for information on Bonaire. The website is now available in Dutch, English and Spanish. TCB will continue to manage the content on the website to ensure that it remains current.
