Bonaire was featured in their second USAToday.com story for the month of January! Bonaire’s native lionfish dish was featured in USAToday’s list of “Our Experts’ Most Memorable Meals of 2014.” This placement is a direct result of freelancer Sarah Sekula’s individual press visit to Bonaire in August 2014. Sekula describes the lionfish dish as a simple, yet tasty meal made memorable mostly by the preparation of the dish that she experienced. VIP Diving was mentioned as one of the dive operations on island that hunt for lionfish, and The Beach Hut was highlighted as one of the restaurants that serve lionfish dishes. Entitled “The Caribbean Island is Growing New Coral Reefs, Here’s How,” the article discusses the 5th coral nursery that was installed in front of Harbour Village Bonaire.
